Srishti’s Scoop
The challenge was to create a balance between the futuristic descriptive worldbuilding and the actual fast-paced plot. I approached it with the lens of bringing the main characters’ journeys to the forefront while allowing the worldbuilding elements to naturally fall in place, instead of relying on the narrative to explain things.

Srishti’s Scoop
This story spanned more than 20 years. Showing the passage of time while maintaining reader engagement throughout proved to be a key challenge. In my chapter breakdown notes, I tracked the pacing dips and highs to help the author see where the narrative could be tightened in keeping with her vision.

Srishti’s Scoop
The author came to me with a collection of stories from his father’s and his own bookselling business that he wanted to document in an engaging manner. The real challenge was to weave these events into a cohesive narrative that would keep readers immersed while staying as true to reality as possible. I worked closely with the author across multiple rounds of developmental editing and extensive line editing to shape the narrative while preserving the authenticity of the events.

One thing I loved was she did not shy away from diving into the nitty gritty and giving me honest feedback from places she felt were unclear, to suggestions for more impactful sentences or moving scenes around to enhance the readers' connection to the characters.

Srishti’s Scoop
As the third book in a bestselling series, ManuMate faced the challenge of developing satisfying narrative threads and character arcs that stayed true to the feel of the first two books while offering something fresh enough to stand on its own. I approached the story from two perspectives: first, that of a returning reader, and then that of a new reader. This allowed me to track reader reactions while also identifying patterns established in the earlier books.
